Making A Halloween Scene For A Great Cause

This post is sponsored by Petco. All opinions are my own.

I love a good excuse to dress Maverick up, so when Petco asked me to help them out with their Halloween “Make A Scene” Contest to celebrate Halloween this year, I was thrilled! Who wouldn’t want the chance to play with adorable adoptable dogs AND plan out my Halloween costume for Mav early? Yes, please!

If you know me, you know that getting the chance to work with animals, especially rescue pups, is one of my favorite things! I love being able to give a voice to the voiceless, and on this shoot, the team at Petco helped me spread awareness by featuring all adoptable, local rescue dogs from Rancho Coastal Humane Society that need loving homes. If you live in or visit the San Diego area, be sure to check out this awesome rescue organization.

Not only do I love Petco because of their amazing toys and costumes, but also because they share many of the same passions as I do. What many don’t know is that since 1999, the Petco Foundation has invested more than $250 million in lifesaving animal welfare work across the country. With more than 4,000 animal welfare partners, they inspire and empower communities to make a difference in the lives of animals. Through their adoption efforts in more than 1,500 Petco stores nationwide, they’ve brought more than 6 million pets together with loving families. Now, with the help of the Petco Foundation and other wonderful rescue organizations, more people can find love like I’ve found with Maverick… (and dress them up in adorable costumes)!

My partnership with Petco doesn’t end after Halloween. I’m partnering with them over the next month, so keep your eye out for more animal fun. I’ll share more news on how you can get involved with animal rescue, bring you tips on great animal organizations and share how you can help those animals in need.

Getting the chance to have a sneak peek at all the amazing costumes Petco has to offer gave me some really fun ideas for how I plan on dressing up Maverick this year. Every year, my sister, Christina, and I dress him up together, and I can’t wait to continue the tradition! Wishing you all the best and cutest Halloween.

Trick or Treat,
