With everything going on in Texas, I wanted to make sure that I put some special attention on the amazing dogs that are ready to find their forever homes, even during the flood clean up efforts. The best part? Adore Houston is located in Houston, Texas but they do adopt to other states and Canada as well! Transport fee is determined by the dogs weight for the flight and the cost of the traveling kennel, and the fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and health certificate.
And don’t forget to also check out all the other adoptable dogs I’ve featured! There are so many lovable pups, located in all different parts of the country <3
Adore Houston’s full list of adoptable dogs is HERE, but these are just five from the bunch that anyone would be lucky to have!
Luna (young, female)
Luna was surrendered to ADORE by her owners that didn’t have time for her. An ADORE team member temporarily fostered Luna and said she is much more beautiful in person and is a very sweet girl. Luna is house trained and crate trained, but is still supervised in the house since she does love to chew bones and tear toys up. She is active, but doesn’t require a tremendous amount of exercise. She loves to go for walks and she enjoys running out a few laps in the backyard. She will chase a ball if you throw it, but she hasn’t figured out to bring it back to you yet. She is extremely sweet with people but does need to learn some manners since she is still young. Luna would do best in a home without small dogs or cats since she plays rough with them. She would be okay with a large dog that has enough energy to keep up with a young girl that likes to rough house. Since she’s young and active we wouldn’t recommend her being in a home with babies or toddlers that she might accidentally knock over. We think she would be great with older kids. Luna is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Max (adult, male)
This beautiful boy is much more handsome in person than his pictures do him justice. Max would do best with an active family who will let him run out his energy in the backyard, or he would be a good jogging partner. Max is house trained and gets along with kids both big and small. He would do great in a home with other dogs as well. His current parents love him a lot but they need to re-home him only because their family is expanding and their home is not big enough for everyone. Max is heart-worm negative, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped.

Bandit (young, male)
This active little guy sure does catch everyone’s eye. Poor Bandit was starved by his previous owners, they played a game where they would withhold food and water from him and now he has some slight resource guarding habits. He rides great in the car but has some hesitation when he sees a car slowly drive by and will bark a few times until they pass. Bandit is crate trained, and we think will be an easy transition for him to be in a home, but for right now he is patiently waiting for his home at a boarding facility. Bandit is submissive with people and will crawl his way towards your lap, but is slightly dominant with other dogs and will try to get them to play with him. He is a gorgeous little guy who will make a great addition to your home!

Lulu (young, female)
Lulu was wandering around the street and followed her guardian angels home, then refused to leave, so they refused to not give her a chance at a better life. She is a sweet and energetic young girl. She loves to play, and is excellent on walks. She is very well mannered, and will be your friend as soon as she meets you. She is dog friendly, kid friendly, and is just a great all around dog. She just wants to love on you and be your friend! Lulu is up to date on vaccines, spayed, heart worm-negative, microchipped, and house-trained!
Harris was found dumped outside of a work building with his buddy (who has since been adopted). The vet found a microchip on both dogs but the owner refused to take them back. Harris is an extremely loyal guy who is looking for an owner to bond with. He is very smart and would make a great companion for an experienced dog owner. We are still learning more about his personality but Harris would love to be in a home again with people who won’t abandon him. Harris is heart worm-negative, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
