Happy Hour: Hot Cocktail Recipes

One of my favorite things about getting into the chillier temperatures is the ability to drink warm cozy drinks all day long. Whether its hot tea in the morning or a warmed cocktail to spice up your evening, all of these options make the cold nights that much more cozy. There’s just something about sipping a hot drink on a chilly day that makes everything seem right.

I decided to compile a list of a few fun hot cocktail drinks that would be perfect to make for a fun night with some girlfriends. Enjoy!

Mulled Wine

This traditional spicy wine beverage makes for a great after-dinner drink. You can add all sorts of accent flavors to this warm drink, and it’s the perfect way to revive a stale bottle of wine!

Hot Toddy

The hot toddy is a true classic. But I especially love how many variations there are, from baked apple to ginger, you’ve got a version to please any palette.

The Blizzard Cocktail

I found this recipe on MarthaStewart.com and had to try it. Trust me – it’s as delicious as it sounds. You just can’t go wrong with any drink that has a whipped cream topping.

It truly is a cake in a glass, with delicious cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar flavors.

Tom and Jerry

Mix eggnog with brandy and you’ll meet Tom and Jerry. It’s a scrumptiously sweet drink, perfect for the holidays.

What are you sipping on as we head into cooler temps?
