The 10 Best Ways to Get Your Energy Up

If you ever wake up and just feel like “blah, I wish I could stay in bed all day,” then this post is for you!  I spoke to fitness pro and celebrity trainer Lacey Stone about how she keeps her energy up and going (her energy and enthusiasm for life is infectious!), and here are 10 of her best tips (and she uses these herself)!

  1. Eat right: Food is your body’s fuel!
  2. Be physically fit: When your body is lean and healthy, your energy will be high.
  3. Get plenty of rest: At least eight hours is a must.
  4. Drink plenty of water: 8-10 glasses a day, guys!
  5. Make sure you do something nice for yourself every day: No explanation necessary. #SelfCare
  6. Get a massage every two weeks or foam roll daily: Massages are not only great to relax, but they also help to soothe aching and sore muscles. If you can’t get to a masseuse, then foam rolling is a great alternate option! I really like this easy how-to from Greatist– they hit all your basic foam roll stretches!
  7. Have one cup of coffee every morning: Coffee is a great energy starter. Just remember not to have too many!
  8. Surround yourself with people that make you happy: Makes sense, right?
  9. Stay away from toxic people as much as possible: Toxic people will always bring your mood and energy levels down.
  10. Have a dream you’re working towards: But make sure you’re also remaining present and “in the now.”
